Understanding Endpoint Types
HTTP / FTP Endpoints
These are standard web servers or FTP servers accessible via HTTP/HTTPS protocols. They typically host publicly accessible content or file directories.
CDN Endpoints
Content Delivery Network endpoints are optimized servers that cache and distribute content. They provide faster access to frequently requested files within the local network.
Media Server Interfaces
These are specialized servers running media management software (like Jellyfin or Plex). They typically require authentication and provide streaming capabilities.
Technical Note: Endpoint classification is based on the service type and access method. Some servers may serve multiple functions.
